Your best wildlife photo could be chosen for a prestigious calendar

Have you taken a great wildlife photograph recently?

You might consider entering it in the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s second annual wildlife photo contest. Your wildlife image could grace the pages of the department’s prestigious 2008 wildlife calendar.

This year’s theme is “Wildlife Being Wild!” Capture critters in their natural habitat eating, playing, sleeping, running, fighting and flying; the possibilities are endless.

You don’t have to be a professional to submit your work. Simply follow the contest rules available at azgfd.gov/photocontest to ensure your photographs are reviewed by our panel of expert judges.

Judges will choose 13 photos: 12 first-place and one best-in-show. Winning images will grace the pages of the department’s 2008 wildlife calendar. The deadline to submit your photos is 5 p.m. MST July 6 (postmarks do not count).
